Jetwave Group has developed a unique accessory driven by high pressure water to assist with a solution in primary response to providing public and private outdoor spaces with the ability to Clean, Sanitise and Disinfect.

This process can harness both the effectiveness of new high pressure water foam & misting cleaning technology coupled with the efficiency of our Australian Made innovative High Pressure Water Cleaning systems available in Hot and/or Cold water output with a variety of compact mounting options and accessory to suit almost any cleaning task.

World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centre for Disease Control (CDC) recommended that surfaces be first cleaned and then disinfected as regularly as possible to assist in the continued fight against the spread of a virus (e.g. COVID-19)

6 Step Suggested Work Flow Framework:

Important definition(s). Sanitising is to reduce, not kill, the occurrence and growth of bacteria, viruses and fungi. Disinfecting is a process to a surface that is intended to “kill” the micro organisms, viruses and pathogens.

1. Prepare equipment, site and front line operator(s) with appropriate pre-start checks and operator Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) as to not come in contact with.
2. Clean / wash all the targeted surfaces / underlying substrate to clear and break down all organic matter systems, mould, bird excrement, dirt & debris, etc.
   This can be done with a High Pressure Clean (Hot or Cold Water).
   NOTE: Hot water at a temperature of 60 degree Celsius will provide both a deep clean and sanitisation process. Hot water will also assist to lift grease and grime.
   NOTE: if only a cold water high pressure wash is being used the third (3rd) step becomes even more important to utilise the Chemical to assist in the sanitisation of the targeted surface.
3. Sanitisation (foam head or low pressure wash function) the targeted surface / substrate with a mixture of appropriate chemical solution e.g. a mixture of surfactant multipurpose soap (alkaline degreasing based) and sodium hypochlorite (bleach) and allowable to sit for 10min (this can be done with either a hot or cold water high pressure clean / wash). In reality this step is only required if hot water at 70 degrees or more is not being utilised in clean/wash function.
   NOTE: the chemical dosage rate / intake flow volume mixture can be adjusted via the dosage nozzle set that sits behind the injector barb depending on flow rate of high pressure pump.
4. Repeat step 2 for removal of foam
5. Disinfection (fogging head rinse function) the targeted surface / substrate with a mixture of appropriate chemical solution and high pressure water. Chemical used: Benzalkonium Chloride as a Quaternary Ammonia Compound solution at a ratio of 50:1. This Disinfecting stage is where a mist of solution is applied to all surfaces and allow to settle for approx. 10 minutes. Proceeding this, surfaces can be wiped down (where required) or allowed to air dry; leaving surfaces now clean, sanitised and disinfected.
   NOTE: the chemical dosage rate / intake flow volume mixture can be adjusted via the dosage nozzle set that sits behind the injector barb depending on flow rate of high pressure pump.
6. Recovery Drainage and runoff; be fully aware of protecting our environment, waterways and storm water drains. Closely manage on site water mixture runoff and ensure utilisation of waste water catchment barriers.
